Chinese Dumplings Recipe

- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of water
Filling:
- 1/2 lb. of ground pork
- 1/2 cup of chopped cabbage
- 1/4 cup of chopped scallions
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
Dipping Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of chili oil (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Dough
To make the dough, mix the flour and water in a bowl until a smooth dough forms. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes elastic. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.Step 2: Make the Filling
To make the filling, mix the ground pork, chopped cabbage, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, grated ginger, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix everything together until well combined.Step 3: Assemble the Dumplings
Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it is about 1/8 inch thick. Use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut out circles from the dough.
