The ingredients required for making Chilli Paneer are as follows:- 200 grams of paneer
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 capsicum, finely chopped
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon of garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon of ginger, finely chopped
- 3-4 tablespoons of cornflour
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of chilli sauce
- 1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup
- 1 teaspoon of vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
Instructions
Step 1: Cut the Paneer
Cut the paneer into small cubes and keep aside.Step 2: Make the Batter
In a bowl, take 3-4 tablespoons of cornflour and add some water to it. Mix well until you get a smooth batter. Dip the paneer cubes in the batter and coat them well.Step 3: Fry the Paneer
Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer cubes until they turn golden brown. Once done, remove them from the pan and keep them aside.Step 4: Prepare the Sauce
In the same pan, add some more oil and add finely chopped garlic and ginger. Fry them for a minute or two until the raw smell goes away. Add finely chopped onions, capsicum, and green chillies and fry them for 2-3 minutes.Step 5: Add the Sauces
Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of chilli sauce, 1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, and salt to taste. Mix well and let it cook for a minute.Step 6: Add the Paneer
Add the fried paneer cubes to the sauce and mix well. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.Step 7: Serve Hot
