Soya Bean Recipe

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:- 1 cup soya beans
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Water
Instructions
Now that you have all the ingredients ready, let's move on to the instructions:- Soak the soya beans in water overnight.
- Drain the water and add fresh water to the beans in a pressure cooker.
- Pressure cook the beans for 3-4 whistles or until they are soft and cooked.
- Drain the water and keep the beans aside.
- In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds.
- When the cumin seeds start to splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until they are translucent.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala powder.
- Sauté the spices for a minute.
- Add the cooked soya beans and mix well.
- Add salt to taste and mix well.
- Add water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the flame and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the gravy thickens.
- Switch off the flame and let the mixture rest for a few minutes before serving.
