Recipe For Yorkshire Puddings Traditional
Introduction
Yorkshire puddings are a traditional British dish that is often served with roast beef and gravy. They are made from a simple batter that is baked in the oven, and they are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. In this recipe, we will be showing you how to make Yorkshire puddings in a traditional way.Ingredients
For this recipe, you will need:- 4 eggs
- 200g plain flour
- 300ml milk
- 1 tsp salt
- Vegetable oil or beef dripping
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (200°C fan)/425°F/gas mark 7. 2. Crack the eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk them together. 3. Add the flour and salt to the bowl and whisk until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps. 4. Gradually pour the milk into the bowl, whisking constantly, until you have a smooth batter. 5. Leave the batter to rest for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the flour to absorb the liquid and the batter to thicken. 6. Pour a small amount of vegetable oil or beef dripping into each cavity of a 12-cup muffin tin. Place the tin in the oven for 5-10 minutes, until the oil is hot. 7. Carefully remove the muffin tin from the oven and pour the batter into each cavity, filling them about two-thirds full. 8. Place the tin back in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the puddings are risen and golden brown. 9. Remove the tin from the oven and serve the puddings immediately, while they are still hot and crispy.Nutrition
