Authentic Chicken Pad Thai Recipe

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:- 8 ounces of dried rice noodles
- 2 tablespoons of tamarind paste
- 3 tablespoons of fish sauce
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small shallot, sliced
- 1 chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup of bean sprouts
- 2 tablespoons of chopped peanuts
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
1. Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 30 minutes. 2. In a small bowl, mix together the tamarind paste, fish sauce, and brown sugar until well combined. 3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. 4. Add the garlic and shallot to the pan and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant. 5. Add the chicken to the pan and stir-fry until cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. 6. Push the chicken to one side of the pan and add the beaten eggs to the other side. 7. Scramble the eggs until they are cooked through and then mix them together with the chicken. 8. Drain the rice noodles and add them to the pan. Toss everything together until well combined. 9. Pour the tamarind mixture over the noodles and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through. 10. Add the bean sprouts to the pan and toss everything together. 11.
