- 3 tomatoes - 1/2 onion - 1 jalapeno - 1 lime - 1/4 cup cilantro - Salt to taste
Chipotle Salsa
- 1 can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce - 1/2 onion - 1 garlic clove - 1 lime - Salt to taste
Instructions
Salsa Verde
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. 2. Remove the husks from the tomatillos and rinse them under cold water. 3. Cut the tomatillos in half and place them cut side down on a baking sheet with the jalapeno, onion, and garlic. 4. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the tomatillos are tender and slightly charred. 5. Transfer everything to a blender or food processor and add cilantro and salt. 6. Puree until smooth.
Pico de Gallo
1. Dice the tomatoes, onion, and jalapeno and place them in a bowl. 2. Squeeze in the lime juice and add cilantro and salt. 3. Mix everything together until well combined.
Chipotle Salsa
1. Remove the chipotle peppers from the can and remove the stems and seeds. 2. Place the peppers in a blender or food processor with the onion, garlic, lime juice, and salt. 3. Puree until smooth.
