The ingredients required to make potato curry are as follows:- 3-4 medium-sized potatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
Instructions
The instructions to make potato curry are as follows:- Peel the potatoes and chop them into small cubes.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies. Saute until the onions turn translucent.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add chopped potatoes and mix well. Add water as required to cook the potatoes.
- Cover the pan with a lid and let the potatoes cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until they are soft.
- Add garam masala and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
