How To Make Delicious Butterscotch Tart Recipe

For the crust, you will need:- 200g plain flour
- 100g unsalted butter
- 50g caster sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 75g unsalted butter
- 75g soft brown sugar
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 2 tbsp double cream

Step 1: Making the Crust
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. 3. Add the egg yolk and mix until a dough forms. 4. Roll out the dough and use it to line a 20cm tart tin. Press the dough into the edges of the tin and trim off any excess. 5. Prick the base of the pastry with a fork and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. 6. Once chilled, line the pastry case with baking parchment and fill with baking beans. 7. Blind bake the pastry case for 15 minutes, then remove the baking beans and parchment and bake for a further 5 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.Step 2: Making the Filling
1. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, and golden syrup together over a low heat. 2. Once melted, stir in the double cream until the mixture is smooth. 3.
