Almost Lasagna Recipe

For this recipe, you will need:- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 ounces) pasta sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 package (12 ounces) lasagna noodles
- 1 container (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat. 3. Add the pasta sauce and water to the skillet with the beef mixture. Stir to combine and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10-15 minutes. 4. While the sauce is simmering, cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. 5. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. 6. To assemble the dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. 7. Place a layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by a layer of the cheese mixture. 8. Repeat layers of sauce, noodles, and cheese until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of sauce on top. 9. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the dish. 10. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. 11. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 12.
