Instructions

Follow these simple steps to make traditional lasagna:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain off the fat.
  2. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Mix well and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes.

  16. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  17. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
