For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup sliced onions
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 cups cooked rice
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine the chicken, cornstarch, and soy sauce. Mix well and set aside for 10 minutes.2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
3. Add the garlic and ginger and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
4. Add the chicken to the wok and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until browned on all sides.
5. Add the carrots, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
7. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the wok and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the chicken and vegetables are coated.
8. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve with cooked rice.
