Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Drain off any excess fat, then add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, water, basil, parsley, oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine, then bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. After 30 minutes, add the red wine to the skillet and stir to combine. Let the sauce cook for an additional 10 minutes.Step 2: Cook the Lasagna Noodles
