Instructions

For the crust:

1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and sugar. 2. Add the butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. 3. Add the ice water, one tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough starts to come together. 4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times until it forms a ball. 5. Flatten the dough into a disk and wrap it with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

For the filling:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. 3. Stir in the pecans.

Assembling the pie:
